Exhibition Overview

The Kazakhstan International Healthcare Exhibition is a highly professional medical and pharmaceutical exhibition. Each year, it brings together pharmacists, doctors, and businessmen from various countries and specialties. KIHE also hosts various forums to discuss future trends and developments in medicine and pharmaceuticals.

A large number of manufacturers and suppliers of medical equipment, instruments, clinic and laboratory supplies participate in the exhibition annually, showcasing medical products for various uses, as well as equipment for drug production, packaging, and labeling. The KIHE project receives strong official support from the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Akimat of Almaty City, the Kazakhstan Association of International Pharmaceutical Manufacturers, the Eurasian Medical Society, the Association for the Support and Development of Pharmaceutical Activities in Kazakhstan, and the Association of Movement Disorders.

In Kazakhstan, the government owns 80% of medical companies. As a former Soviet republic, Kazakhstan has long implemented a state-owned, highly centralized healthcare system, characterized by low-level, universal coverage, and state leadership, emphasizing a nationalized free medical system covering all citizens. For example, 70% of dental clinics are privately owned, but public health services are usually carried out under the control of national and municipal authorities.
